CSIR NIO Recruitment 2025 : The much awaited recruitment drive for 2025 has been announced by the CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR-NIO), which is seeking applications from motivated and committed Indian citizens for a range of administrative roles. The purpose of this recruitment is to fill positions for Junior Stenographer and Junior Secretariat Assistant (General, Finance & Accounts, Stores & Purchase) at CSIR-NIO, Goa, as well as its Regional Centers in Mumbai, Kochi, and Visakhapatnam. Eligibility Criteria for CSIR Vacancy 2025
As of the online application deadline of June 24, 2025, candidates must confirm that they meet all qualifying conditions.
Education :
- For Gen/F&A/S&P Junior Secretariat Assistant:
- 10+2/XII or a comparable value.
- Ability to type quickly and use computers in accordance with guidelines periodically established by DoPT.
- Regarding the Junior Stenographer:
- 10+2/XII or a comparable value.
- Stenoscopy proficiency in accordance with the guidelines periodically established by DoPT.
- Comparable Qualification Note: A three-year degree earned from an accredited institution after passing the tenth grade will be regarded as being equal to 10+2/XII.
Age Limit :
- For all positions, the minimum age is eighteen.
- Maximum Age:
- 28 years as a junior secretariat assistant (all cadres).
- 27 years as a junior stenographer.
Relaxation for Age :
According to Government of India/CSIR recommendations, the upper age limit for various categories may be lowered:
- SC/ST: 5 years.
- Three years for OBC (NCL).
- PwBD: 10 Years (Unreserved).
- OBC-NCL PwBD: 13 years.
- PwBD: 15 years (SC/ST).
- Ex-Servicemen: three years after the real age on the closing date is subtracted from the actual military service completed.
- There is no upper age limit for CSIR Departmental Candidates.
- Women who are widowed, divorced, or judicially separated but have not remarried: up to 35 years; for SC/ST, up to 40 years.

- Read directions: Carefully follow the website’s directions for completing the online application.
- Complete the application: Enter every detail precisely.
- Indicate your preference for General, Finance & Accounts, and Stores & Purchase cadres for JSA positions. This choice is final.
- Applicants who qualify for both the Junior Stenographer and JSA programs must submit separate applications and pay separate fees.
- Pay the application fee (see below for details).
- Submit Application: The application will be accepted “Provisionally” upon successful submission.
- Print Application: For future use, take a printout of the completed application and payment information. Unless requested, do not transmit a hard copy to CSIR-NIO.
Note: In the online application, candidates must select either Hindi or English as the medium for the typing/stenography test. This decision is final.
Fees
- Candidates who are Unreserved (UR), OBC, and EWS: ₹500 (Rupees Five Hundred only). GST and processing fees are not included in this cost.
- Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and former service members are exempt from the application fee.
