Eligibility

Candidates must confirm that they meet the eligibility requirements set forth by the Central Bank of India before submitting their applications. The following describes the requirements for age, nationality, and educational background.

Citizenship and Nationality

A candidate needs to be:

  1. An Indian national,
  2. A territory of Nepal,
  3. A territory of Bhutan,
  4. A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India prior to January 1, 1962, with the goal of settling there permanently,
  5. An individual of Indian descent who has moved to India with the goal of settling there permanently from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or some East African nations. Candidates from non-Indian national categories must have an eligibility certificate from the Indian government.

Qualifications in Education

  1. A graduate degree in any field from an accredited university or an equivalent credential approved by the central government is required of candidates.
  2. Candidates must have finished their graduation by January 1, 2021, at the latest.
  3. To be eligible to apply, candidates must be registered on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.

Limit on Age (as of May 31, 2025)

  1. Applicants must be at least 20 years old.
  2. Candidates who are unreserved or EWS must be at least 28 years old.
  3. The age range for candidates must be May 31, 1997, to May 31, 2005 (inclusive).

Relaxation by Age:

According to government regulations, the upper age limit is lowered for reserved categories:

  1. SC/ST: five years
  2. Non-Creamy Layer (OBC): three years
  3. PwBD: 10 years (UR/EWS)
  4. OBC (PwBD): thirteen years
  5. PwBD: 15 years (SC/ST)
  6. Legally separated women who have not remarried, widows, and divorced women: Candidates may be up to 35 years old for General/EWS, 38 for OBC, and 40 for SC/ST.

Salary

After being chosen, the chosen individuals will work as apprentices for a year and get a set monthly salary.

  1. Monthly stipend: ₹15,000.
  2. Other perks/Allowances: In addition to their stipend, apprentices are not entitled to any other perks or allowances.

Future employment with the bank is not guaranteed by this apprenticeship, which is merely a training opportunity.
