HPCL Bharti 2025 Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for these R&D jobs, candidates must fulfill certain age restrictions, educational criteria, and experience requirements.
Prerequisites for General Education:
- Ph.D., MBA, M.E., M.Tech, B.E., or B.Tech.
- The Ph.D. must have been earned following an M.E/M.Tech, B.E/B.Tech, or M.Sc. in the applicable field for positions requiring one.
- Both graduation and post-graduation grades must have been at least 65% (or 55% for SC, ST, and PwBD applicants).
- Applicants with an Integrated Ph.D. are also qualified, as long as they can demonstrate that they have earned a Master’s degree in addition to their Ph.D.

Selection Process
There will be multiple steps in the selection process:
- Application Scrutiny: Eligibility will be assessed for applications.
- Shortlisting: HPCL may use shortlisting criteria such more relevant experience, more qualifications, the quantity of patents or publications in high-impact journals, etc., if a lot of applications are received.
- Selection Tools: The procedure could involve the following, depending on the role:
- Test Based on Computers (CBT)
- Group Assignment
- Individual Interview (one or several phases)
- Merit List: Candidates who meet all selection criteria will be placed on a merit list based on their categories (minimum qualifying marks: 60% for UR & EWS, 54% for OBCNC/SC/ST/PwBD).
- Pre-Employment Medical Examination: Attendance is contingent upon meeting HPCL’s requirements for medical fitness.
Fees to Apply for HPCL R&D Officer Positions
- Candidates who are SC, ST, or PwBD are exempt from paying the application fee.
